I write things. I record things with cameras. And I try to put those things together in a way that has meaning.

After some fun as a staff reporter at The Oregonian and The Forest Grove Leader, I continue to write pieces for my home state's paper. I tried New York for a while by way of NBC, but there weren't enough trees or people who own tarps.

I get my professional kicks from exploring people and their characters, whether in the true story of a life-saving pharmacist or the made-up story of a guy who just wants to make a great film. Otherwise, I occupy my time with snowboarding, camping with as little equipment as possible, and building a strawbale house.
